Pop sensation Taylor Swift made an appearance at Arrowhead Stadium during the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday, sparking rumors of a possible romance with star tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift, 33, was seen sitting alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna, in a video shared by Fox Sports just as the Chiefs’ game against the Chicago Bears began. She was enthusiastically supporting the Chiefs, dressed in their red and white colors. A Fox Sports commentator pointed out Swift’s presence with Kelce’s mother, noting that their suite seemed to be having a great time.
Video footage of Swift appearing to exclaim “Let’s go!” after a Kelce touchdown quickly went viral on social media.
Broadcaster Greg Olsen chimed in, saying, “I think the secret’s out. I think we can play matchmaker and put the rumors to rest. I think they’re officially a couple, and I think the internet is going crazy right now.”
Despite Swift’s attention-grabbing presence, the Chiefs’ game turned out to be far from competitive or entertaining, with the Chiefs winning 41-10 against the Bears.
The game was so one-sided, with a 34-0 halftime score, that many viewers who had been watching it on their local Fox affiliate switched to the Cowboys-Cardinals game as Arizona pulled off a major upset. After the Bears-Chiefs broadcast signed off, viewers saw footage of Kelce celebrating with a fist pump and Swift jumping out of her seat to signal a touchdown.
Following the game, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was asked if he felt pressure to pass the ball to Kelce because Swift was in attendance. He jokingly said, “I heard she was in the house. I felt a little bit of pressure. So I knew I had to get it to Trav. … I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as the Swifties wanted him to.”
Later, a video surfaced of Kelce and Swift leaving the event together, posted by Chicago sports media personality Jarrett Payton. Speculation about Swift and Kelce began when he attended her Eras Tour over the summer.
Kelce playfully mentioned on a podcast with his brother that he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it. Last week, he confirmed on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he had invited her to a game, finding the headlines about his personal life amusing.
Swift’s appearance at the game does not confirm a romantic relationship, but it has certainly ignited excitement on the internet. A source close to Swift mentioned that they are spending time together, but it’s still in the early stages.
A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce’s brother, avoided addressing the rumors directly when asked.
