Two climate activists threw two cans of tomato soup over Vincent Van Gogh’s renowned “Sunflowers” painting.
After dumping the soup over a famous painting of Van Gogh, the two women glued their hands to the gallery wall.
The iconic “Sunflowers” painting, painted by Vincent Van Gogh in the 1880s, is valued at $80.99 million and remained undamaged except for the minor damage to the frame after the soup dump.
The two women protesting as part of the campaign group “Just Stop Oil” appeared in London court on Saturday on charges of criminal damages.

However, the women of the campaign group ‘Just Stop Oil’ pleaded not guilty at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
One activist from the group said, “What is worth more, art or life? Is it worth more than food? Worth more than justice? Are you more concerned about the protection of a painting or the protection of our planet and people?”
Just Stop Oil faced criticism from environmental groups and politicians following the protest.
