A five-member bench, led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, issued the notices during the hearing on Siddiqui’s petition against his dismissal by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) in 2018. The court raised concerns about the allegations and cautioned against allowing the judiciary to be used for ulterior motives. The hearing was adjourned until after the vacation period.
