Professional wrestler and former WWE champion Bray Wyatt has passed away at the age of 36, as confirmed by the company on Thursday. WWE did not immediately disclose the cause or location of his unexpected death.
Under his real name Windham Rotunda, Wyatt was the son of WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Mike Rotunda. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, expressed condolences and requested privacy for Wyatt’s family during this time.
Wyatt achieved the WWE Championship in 2017 and portrayed various personas throughout his career, including as a member of The Wyatt Family and as the unsettling masked character, The Fiend.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, an actor and former wrestler, shared his sorrow over Wyatt’s passing on social media, expressing deep respect and fondness for Wyatt and the Rotunda family.
