While Prince Harry mentioned her support for Nigeria due to her heritage at the opening ceremony, Meghan’s clear allegiance to the USA was evident in her actions.

She was seen raising her hands in excitement, wearing an American flag badge given by a fellow supporter, and joining American fans in applause. The couple also shared moments of tension and amusement during the event. Meghan interacted with Australian competitor Laura Reynell, discussed her children, and later participated in a children’s relay race with Harry.

They concluded the day by presenting gold medals to the victorious USA wheelchair basketball team. Meghan was given an honorary name, “Amira Ngozi Lolo,” during a meeting with the Chief of Defence for Nigeria. Despite arriving late due to family commitments, Meghan expressed her joy at being part of the Invictus Games and her desire to bring their children in the future. Meghan’s outfit for the event was a black shirt dress by Banana Republic, and she prepared for the event within an hour upon arriving at the hotel where Harry was staying.
