Following a surprise attack known as Operation Al-Aqsa Flood launched by Hamas early Saturday, which involved dozens of fighters infiltrating Israeli towns and engaging in intense rocket strikes, a conflict has erupted between the two parties.

  • Israeli warplanes initiated fresh airstrikes in the Gaza Strip early Sunday, targeting a military facility belonging to Palestinian groups in western Gaza. Residential areas and public buildings in Beit Hanoun and other locations were also subjected to attacks.
