Former US President Donald Trump consults with lawyers at Trump Tower in New York as he prepares to face historic crime.
A lawsuit was filed against the porn star, who said she had sexual intercourse before the 2016 elections, and claimed that she was innocent.
Authorities took extra security measures ahead of Tuesday’s protest outside the Manhattan courthouse.
Mr. Trump, 76, is the first US president to face charges.
President Trump is presumed to have been arrested and detained once fingerprinted and action taken by the authorities. He will then appear in court – meaning the charges will be read and he will plead guilty.
Mr Trump is under scrutiny over allegations that his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, sent $130,000 (£105,000) to adult movie star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
Trump denied having sexual intercourse with Ms. Daniels.
Hush’s money contracts are illegal, but Manhattan prosecutors are investigating whether business records were falsified through payments.
According to US media, Trump is facing at least one charge in the case. Other reports indicate that there are up to 30 charges in his indictment.

On Monday night, however, Judge Mercan decided that some news photographers should be allowed to take pictures a few minutes before the hearing begins.
The former president is due to return to his home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on Tuesday evening, where he is scheduled to be released on bail and speak at 8:15 PM local time.
His walk from Palm Beach to Manhattan on Monday afternoon was watched by millions of people.
During the nearly four-hour flight from West Palm Beach to LaGuardia Airport in Queens, real-time viewers, painted in red, white, and blue, with “Trump” in capital letters next to it, followed his plane.
While awaiting his arrival, the intersection of Trump Tower, the former president’s Manhattan residence, filled with New Yorkers and tourists.
Dozens of reporters camped at every corner as at least five news helicopters circled Fifth Avenue.
Just after 16:15 (20:15 GMT) local time, Mr. Trump waved to the media and the crowd before entering the heavily guarded skyscraper.
He appears to have met with a lawyer at Trump Tower Monday night, and the team has grown with the addition of Todd Branch, a white-collar criminal defense attorney and former federal attorney who represents Trump’s president, Paul Manafort. At a press conference Monday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams warned all “criminals” to “reintroduce themselves”.
Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Green plans to protest against Trump near the courthouse on Tuesday. Unlike the days leading up to the 2021 Capitol protests by Trump supporters, New York officials said they had not seen any protesters enter the city in recent days.
