Premiering in 2000, the show, featuring David in a fictionalized version of his own life, holds the distinction of being HBO’s longest-running scripted comedy series. Comedians like Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman, integral to the show, are set to reprise their roles in the concluding season.

Comprising 10 episodes, the season will debut on February 4 on Max, with subsequent episodes airing on Sundays at 22:00 EST until the series finale on April 7.

Upon its 2000 debut, the show received critical acclaim, accumulating 51 Emmy nominations and two wins, along with five Golden Globe nominations and one win. Larry David, also renowned for co-creating Seinfeld with Jerry Seinfeld, expressed his intentions to bid farewell to the “Larry David” persona he portrayed on Curb.

Taking a hiatus between its eighth and ninth seasons, the show returned, but this time marks the definitive end. David humorously remarked, “‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell,” and invited those interested in reaching out to him to contact Doctors Without Borders.

Casey Bloys, HBO and Max content chairman, acknowledged the challenge of bidding adieu to such a groundbreaking and iconic series. He paid tribute to Larry David, executive producer Jeff Schaffer, and the entire team, expressing enduring appreciation for the comedic brilliance that shaped the show.

Since the last broadcast of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David has maintained visibility, notably parodying Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live in the U.S.
