Cardi B has expressed her desire for “a new beginning” following her separation from husband Offset, as revealed by the rapper in an Instagram Live session shared by a pop culture account. The announcement hints at the possibility of the couple ending their five-year marriage. Offset, a member of the Migos rap group, has not publicly commented on the reported split.

In her message to followers on Sunday night, Cardi B candidly shared, “I’ve been single for a minute now… I want to start 2024 fresh. I don’t know if you guys have been getting clues from me, from my lives or from my stories when I put certain music or find my unfollowings… I just don’t know how to tell the world.” The “Bodak Yellow” rapper expressed excitement about the prospect of a new life and a fresh start.
The separation comes on the heels of Offset denying allegations of infidelity made by rapper Blueface, who accused him of having an affair with his ex-partner. Offset took to Twitter to assert, “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady.”
Previous signs of trouble included reports of the couple unfollowing each other on Instagram. Cardi B and Offset, known legally as Belcalis and Kiari Cephus, have navigated a tumultuous relationship since their marriage in 2017. They confirmed a separation in December 2018, reconciled, and then faced divorce rumors in September 2020, which were eventually called off when the couple reunited. Cardi B and Offset share a daughter, Kulture, aged six, and a son, Wave, aged two.
