An Anglo-Israeli woman was injured in a suspected Palestinian shooting that killed her two daughters on Friday.
Lucy Dee, 45, has been in a coma since the attack on the West Bank.
Daughters Rina, 15, and Maia, 20, were buried next to their father and three surviving brothers in the settlement of Kfar Etzion on Sunday.
Nine years ago, Lucy’s family immigrated to Israel from England, where her husband was a preacher in England.
Thousands of mourners attended the sister’s funeral.
Pastor Leo Dee excitedly asked, “How am I going to explain to her what happened to our two precious gifts, Maia and Rina, when Lucy awakens from her subconscious?”
Ein Kerem, from the Hebrew name of Jerusalem Lucy. The hospital reported that Leah passed away on Monday morning “despite intensive care and support”.
Lucy, Lina and Maya were killed while driving while on vacation in the Jordan Valley in the northern West Bank. Israeli media reported that investigators’ cars were hit and gunmen entered the car and opened fire on women nearby.
Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported that they found 22 bullets, which appeared to be from a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
Rabbi Dee told the BBC he was away from another car when he was called by news of the attack. She said she tried to call her husband and daughter but they didn’t answer. She later found pictures of the hacked car online and recognized the bag in the backseat.
When he got there, emergency services were at the scene of the attack, close to the Alhambra settlement.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted “the Dee family’s concerns over the death of mother Leah (Lucy) in the horrific terrorist attack in the [Jordan] Valley”.
Radlett United Synagogue in Hertfordshire, where Diess belongs, said the community was “devastated” by the deaths of Lucy and her daughter.
He said, “We and the world have been removed from their lives, but their light will not go out.”
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began searching for the perpetrators after the attack amid tensions between Israel and the Palestinians.
