Taylor Swift: Publicist denies star secretly married Joe Alwyn

Taylor Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, has strongly criticized rumors circulated by the celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi, suggesting that the pop star secretly married her ex-partner Joe Alywn. Deuxmoi, via an Instagram Story, alleged that Swift and Alywn had a non-legal ceremony in 2020 or 2021. Paine took to Twitter and Instagram to denounce these claims, stating, “Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind.”

News of Swift and Alywn’s breakup gained attention in May 2023, and since then, Swift has been linked to NFL player Travis Kelce. Deuxmoi responded to Paine’s statement, asserting that they do not profit from spreading falsehoods and questioning if publicists could claim the same. The post concluded with an apology to Taylor Swift.

Tree Paine has been leading Taylor Swift’s publicity team since 2014 and is frequently seen accompanying the singer at events. Taylor, a 12-time Grammy award winner, recently released the song “You’re Losing Me,” which fans speculate is about the decline of her relationship with Joe Alywn. However, collaborator Jack Antonoff mentioned that the song was recorded before their split in December 2021.

Deuxmoi, with over two million Instagram followers, positions itself as a “curator of pop culture,” sharing anonymous messages from unverified sources about celebrities. While it posts various celebrity-related content, the account emphasizes that some statements have not been independently confirmed, and it does not claim its information is based on fact. The account also shares pictures of celebrities submitted by followers, maintaining the anonymity of its owner, who clarified in a 2022 interview that they are not an investigative journalist.
