An emotionally disturbed male was charged with stalking near Taylor Swift’s New York home while the singer was away.
The singer Taylor Swift was not at her New York townhouse when witnesses reported an “emotionally disturbed male”.
A 33-year-old man named David Crowe from Seattle has been apprehended and accused of harassment and stalking in close proximity to Taylor Swift’s residence in New York. The New York Police Department took him into custody on Monday following reports of an “emotionally disturbed male behaving erratically.” Crowe faces charges of two counts each of harassment and stalking.
This incident occurred shortly after an apparent attempt to break into Swift’s home. The singer was away at the time, supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce, an NFL player for the Kansas City Chiefs, during their game against the Buffalo Bills.
It is yet to be confirmed by the police whether the individual arrested in connection with the attempted break-in is linked to the separate case of harassment and stalking.
Swift has faced persistent incidents of individuals targeting her residences in New York, California, and Rhode Island. In 2022, a man was apprehended for driving under the influence and crashing a car into the Grammy winner’s New York building, reportedly attempting to gain entry.
Another individual, Roger Alvarado, unlawfully entered her home and was discovered by law enforcement asleep in her bed. He received a six-month jail sentence as a consequence.
