Broadus revealed her situation by posting a photo of herself in a hospital bed on her Instagram story last Thursday, addressing her 657,000 followers. In her message, she expressed, “This morning, I experienced a severe stroke. Tears welled up when they delivered the news. At just 24 years old, I can’t help but wonder what I did in my past to deserve all of this.”

Doctors commonly describe a stroke as a “heart attack for the brain,” as it occurs when the blood flow to the brain is interrupted.

In response to well wishes from friends on Instagram, Broadus expressed her gratitude with the words: “I appreciate your love, I appreciate your love.”
