Dan Wootton: GB News host admits 'errors of judgement'

Broadcaster Dan Wootton has responded to the recent claims made against him, acknowledging that he made “errors of judgement in the past,” but vehemently denying any criminal activity. The reports included allegations that he offered money to media colleagues in exchange for explicit material of themselves.

During his GB News show, Wootton asserted that he is the victim of a “witch hunt” orchestrated by “nefarious players.” The publishers of the Sun and MailOnline, where Wootton previously worked as executive editor and later became a columnist, respectively, have stated that they are investigating the allegations.

The claims, circulated on social media and some publications, suggest that Wootton used fake online identities and offered money to individuals for filming themselves engaging in sexual acts. Wootton dismissed these accusations, attributing them to a “race to the bottom” on social media and alleging that “dark forces” are attempting to undermine GB News.

Despite his willingness to address the claims, Wootton explained that his lawyers have advised him not to make further comments on the matter. GB News has refrained from making any statements on the issue at this time.
