Adopted girl accused of being a 22-year-old woman, Real Age is now confirmed.

Healthcare experts have verified Natalia Grace’s true age following inquiries about her identity raised in the popular documentary, The Curious Case of Natalia Grace.

A girl who was adopted has been accused of actually being a 22-year-old woman, and her real age has now been verified.

The tale of the Ukrainian orphan captured global attention earlier this year upon the release of a documentary that outlined her adoption by Michael and Kristine Barnett.

The Barnetts raised concerns on the show, implying that Natalia, whom they adopted in 2010 as a six-year-old, might have been an adult with dwarfism pretending to be a child.

The family asserted that Natalia posed a threat to them and presented supposed ‘proof’ suggesting she was older than six years old. Subsequently, they opted to legally alter Natalia’s age, setting it to 22 years old, and relocated her to an apartment to live independently while they moved to Canada.

The Barnetts faced neglect charges regarding their dependent, but while Michael was acquitted, the charges against Kristine were dropped.

In a follow-up documentary titled “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks,” Natalia, who has lived with a new adoptive family for a decade, addresses the accusations against her. The documentary features Natalia consulting medical professionals to confirm her true age.

Scheduled to premiere on January 1, the series reveals Natalia acknowledging that she did claim to be 22 years old, but she alleges that Kristine “taught her to lie.” She expresses that altering her age was the most distressing action the Barnetts imposed on her, stating she placed trust in the family too quickly.

“They destroyed a child’s future,” Natalia asserts.

In the documentary, an investigation revisited the dentist’s office where Natalia had an x-ray while under the care of the Barnetts, aiming to establish Natalia’s age at that time.

Reflecting on her time with the Barnetts, Natalia remembered the incident of losing a tooth, a typical experience for kids aged 6-12. However, she alleged that Kristina blamed her for self-extracting the tooth.

Upon reviewing Natalia’s x-ray from over ten years ago, the dentist emphasized that what it revealed was unequivocal evidence. The image captured by the dentist distinctly displayed permanent teeth emerging beneath Natalia’s primary teeth, a phenomenon uncommon in individuals in their twenties. “This is irrefutable proof,” the dentist asserted, noting that Natalia would have been approximately eight or nine years old when the x-ray was conducted in 2011.

The sole evidence, a blood sample provided by Natalia to a lab known for determining ages for insurance purposes, revealed that her current age appeared close to 22 years old. This stark contrast indicated that Natalia was not an adult when the Barnetts legally altered her age. The conclusive sample disproved any falsehoods about her age, leaving Natalia puzzled about the motives behind the Barnetts’ decision to portray her as significantly older than she truly was.
